1. How do I access local advertised jobs?

For the latest up-to-date information on local advertised jobs, log on to the Australian Job Search site. It is user friendly and is a great place to start.

2. What assistance can I have to obtain a resume?

Once you register with Employment Services, we can give you one on one assistance with preparing your resume.

3. What is meant by cold canvassing?

Cold canvassing means going to potential employers and locations prepared with resumes, but without an actual job to apply for.

4. What is meant by networking?

To begin to network, you should develop a list of people who can assist you in your job search efforts. ie. family, friends, etc...

5. I have a job interview, how can I practice the techniques?

Do practice interviews with other people. Try and arrange a time with your Employment Services provider for a trial interview. Prepare and you will comfortably be able to answer any questions that they throw your way!
